As of my last update in October 2023, The Great Wall 2 (2025) hasn’t been released yet, so I can’t offer a review based on its actual content. However, I can imagine some elements that might be in line with what fans of the original The Great Wall (2016) might expect, especially with its large-scale action, visual spectacle, and blending of Chinese history and mythology with fantasy elements. Assuming the sequel picks up where the original left off, we might see the return of fantastical creatures, a focus on defending the Great Wall from monstrous invaders, and larger-than-life battles. With the increasing interest in global co-productions, The Great Wall 2 could continue to expand its international appeal, possibly integrating new characters or deeper backstories for those who survived the first film.
