Sophie, a single mom, was determined to make sure her seven-year-old son Matthew had a magical Christmas, even though things were hard. But soon, a disturbing finding that would change everything took the spotlight off of her work.

Sophie couldn’t help but feel nostalgic as she decorated the house. They had never spent Christmas without Matthew’s dad, Frank, and it was very quiet. Sophie was set on making the holidays special for her son, though.

  President-elect Donald Trump ran on a platform of isolating the US from foreign conflicts like the Ukraine war, increasing tariffs on foreign trade partners, and rebuilding domestic manufacturing.     I don’t really know how to tell this story. For a start, there are some logistical difficulties – I’ll get to those later – but even without those, I don’t know how to explain it all. I guess I’ll start when we saw each other at the club after four years apart.
